Yaoi novel: Pawprints 2

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 8, 2008, 6:11 PM
Yay! Pawprints: Second Nature is available now. This is the companion story to last November's Pawprints but I need to warn everyone--this time, the star isn't a kitty: Gabe barks, wags his tail, makes puppy-dog eyes at his lover... :blushes:

Pawprints: Second Nature

Gabe and Hayden have been sweethearts since high school, and as college seniors, they can't keep their hands -- or mouths -- off each other. As hot as things are in the bedroom, it's their love that really keeps the fire burning in their relationship. But there's a problem that makes Gabe nervous about accepting Hayden's proposal to spend forever together. Gabe is actually a dog...and Hayden is terrified of them!

Bitten as a kid, Hayden runs from anything that barks, and that's kept Gabe's lips firmly muzzled until now. There's no way he can keep his four-pawed, tail-wagging side a secret when he's supposed to share everything with the man he adores. Just as Gabe decides to come clean with the truth that he's not human, Hayden makes a shocking discovery of his own: he's not human either.

Caught between two worlds and the sex-driven beings known as Wairs who inhabit both realms, Gabe and Hayden have no idea if their love can survive. Especially when the full moon brings out a demon sorcerer set on coming after Hayden -- to either claim him or destroy him.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices...

Guh...

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 17, 2008, 12:11 PM
I'm really terrible at updating my journals/blogs, aren't I? >_> It's been a month since my last post, and as always, there's plenty of stuff going on. Today, I'm uploading a few recent covers that have been receiving some nice comments from authors and readers, and then I'll probably relax with some painting later tonight. Or reading...I don't have the stamina to stay at the PC as long as I used to. :P

Speaking of books, Udon's "Art of Capcom" is great! I grew up loving Street Fighter and almost half the book is devoted to pinups featuring art from the series. Cammy is still my fave, but holy smokes--there's a painting of Vega without his mask that is just...guh...words escape me.

Reading manga

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 17, 2008, 9:58 PM
I'm usually not a big fan of the books Juné produces, but Sunflower is a very sweet read. It's cute and fun, and the art is pretty. (Unfortunately, I've noticed a few typos...:P)

I've also updated the gallery with a couple of covers, including one for T.A. Chase's "The Vanguard". It goes without saying that I'm a huge fan of TA's work, and I can't wait for the novel's release date. I've had an advance sneak peek at the manuscript (one of the perks of being an artist--bwahahaha) and it's excellent.

Quick Update

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 9, 2007, 9:30 PM
Have a couple of new covers up for December, but I should be uploading more within a couple of days. Meanwhile, I just can't stop thinking about Elves -- those lithe, sexy, pointy-eared fantasy cuties. *sigh* Several things are not helping with my addiction:

While I'm enjoying this fantasy high, don't anyone get me started on fairies. >_> I had a close call this summer with Ally Blue's Fireflies, and I'm feeling the itch to do another boy with wings. Must...resist...temptation....

New novella: Pawprints

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 7, 2007, 12:35 PM
Earlier this week, Loose Id released my latest yaoi novella, Pawprints! :D I had much, much fun writing this one, and if anyone checks it out, I hope you enjoy. Here's a little blurb:

Veterinary student Adrian Ferrer can't find the right man for a lasting relationship, let alone to share his life with. Between classes, his part-time job at an animal hospital and volunteering at a no-kill shelter, he's not making time to try either. Just as he's ready to leave love for the birds, Adrian comes across a new guest at the shelter who turns out to be much more than the cute, black & white cat he first appears to be. The cat shifts form, becoming a gorgeous, naked man named Lal, and the sexual attraction between the two men is pure animal magnetism.

Before Adrian knows it, he's falling for Lal faster than he can catch his breath. Never mind that his apartment doesn't allow pets, Lal is one cat he's not letting go of. But Adrian's new love is on the run from a former life that's about to catch up with them both.

Also, thanks SO much to everyone who's participating in my Animal Shelter Appreciation Week charity print sale. I have only three left, and I've had the chance to read so many touching stories from folks who've adopted or rescued their pets. How wonderful is that???
